Due to a career transition requiring me to relocate from California to Chicago in a few months, I found myself frantically scouring the usual apartment-finding websites so that I could try to line up a number of showings for a brief visit to Chicago. I had the messy Excel spreadsheet, random real estate agents texting me all day long, annoying and unhelpful e-mail alerts inundating my inbox, etc. Somewhere on the third or fourth day of this, I found myself on the website of the Downtown Apartment Company, and submitted a few inquiries through their webpage. She expertly navigated me through the process and even reached out to various leasing agents to negotiate on my behalf, such as seeing if one place could match another building's "look and lease" offer (they said they would). Even after I had been approved for my new apartment, she continued to check in and see how things were going, answering my remaining questions quickly and competently, with kindness and patience as always. Streeterville or the South loop because I love living near the lake but being close to downtown and the fabulous restaurants in River North and the West Loop.
Downtown Apartment Company has a reputation of being the best in the biz and everyone that works there is so helpful and genuine. It's a great team atmosphere and the office space is pretty sweet too.
I love going to workout classes and staying active, trying new restaurants, shopping and spending time with my kids outdoors on my days off.
