Chicago Restaurant Week is something Chicagoans look forward to every year, but this year is extra special. With the city’s Covid-19 restrictions easing, this year’s Restaurant Week is geared up to be our first “normal” year in a while. For those who aren’t familiar, restaurant week is when dozens of popular Chicago restaurants of all cuisines and formality offer reasonably priced prix fixe lunch and dinner menus with specialty dishes. Each multicourse menu is $25 for brunch or lunch and $39 or $55 for dinner. If you’re still feeling a bit skittish about dining indoors, restaurants will be offering a to-go option as well. This year, the 17 day event will take place from March 25th to April 10th. Here are some of the top spots to be sure to check out!
Cabra Fulton Market
Cabra is the newest addition to Stephanie Izard’s long list of iconic West Loop restaurants, all of which have “goat” inspired names and many of which have critical acclaim or Michelin stars. This Restaurant Week, Cabra is serving up four Peruvian inspired courses like tuna tataki served with brown butter miso aioli and jicama slaw.
Daisies Wicker Park
Daisies’ dinner menu features innovative flavor pairings, like a black truffle ravioli with bacon and red grape entree or pretzel raspberry salad for dessert.
Avec River North
Avec will be offering both lunch and dinner prix fixe menus with contemporary Italian-fusion dishes like burrata toast with roasted squash, Chile honey, almonds, and mint.
